Why are you interested in UE? asked by Anymouse
i have always been curious what is out there. i always take things apart to find how they work.looking into various places to see whats behind the walls or doors. always looking past the glass into the sites.

What types of places do you like to explore? asked by Anymouse
i have looked through old buildings on abandoned sites. various construction sites.

What is the first place you ever explored? asked by Skaught
the first one i really remember was an apartment complex that was under construction. i wanted to see how that was put togethor.

In what year did you explore your first place? asked by Skaught
it was about 22 years ago, when i was a teenager.not too young anymore, just at heart.

What are some places you found on your own? asked by Skaught
many different places, old barns, campground buildings.

Where do you currently live, and where have you explored before? asked by Anymouse
i am in edmonton, have looked around various sites. want to get out more.

Is it ok to use any sort of force when entering a site? asked by Skaught
if the buiding is abandoned and there is no chance of kids being hurt in discovey of an openeing made in the process.it is pretty well wide open if it is to be demolished.

What's your stance on the use of drugs/alcohol in conjuction with UE? asked by K.A.O.S.
it really depends on the site, if there is any chance of danger one should keep their wits about them. it only makes sense to be responsible for yourself. after its all over do as you wish, but i do not wish to drag a dead or unconcious/battered body out of a mine because you were drunk and did not see a drop off.

What's your stance on tagging, graffitti and other modifications to sites. asked by K.A.O.S.
should not be done. it is not your property to do this to. respect it.you know you were there, you took pictures, no need to paint.

Hypothetical situation: security is on to you, either ahead or behind. Run or talk your way out of it? asked by Vapor
i am too old and slow to run so i have no choice but hopefully talk my way out or just pay the fine. hopefully i would use good enough judgement so it is not a consideration.

What is the origin of your nick? asked by Skaught
i like lights,i collected them. my buddy said i was the god of lights then it evolved into litegod.

Do you have a UE kit, and if so, what's inside? asked by Vapor
no actual kit but i have more than enough gear to be prepped for most conditions and problems.

Do you take pictures? If so, what type of camera do you use? asked by Anymouse
i like to remember places i have been more than take pictures but i do have a digital camera i use. nice sony 4.1 mp camera, not as good as some have i am sure but it is more than adequate for more of my needs.

What do you think about exploring active sites? asked by GCOAP
depends,if people are working away and there is dangerous stuff going on then its best to stay out of the way.

You're exploring with other people when someone sustains a serious injury, gets trapped, caught, etc. In your current position you're safe but trying to assist your fellow explorer could put you in peril. What action (if any) do you take? asked by K.A.O.S.
if you go with a group you stay as a group, its the easiest way for somebody to get lost, killed etc. if somebody gets trapped you get them out or get help if you cannot do it yourself. you do not leave people behind.period!

You find illegally dumped toxic waste while exploring, evidence of drug trafficking or other illegal/dangerous activity/conditions in the course of your explorations. What do you do about it, if anything? asked by K.A.O.S.
lots of payphones around, no need for names.

How did you find your way here? asked by K.A.O.S.
i was a member on the old site and it got trashed, cannot rememebr how i got there though.

What has UE given you in your life that you otherwise have not had? asked by Q
it has reminded me that even though i am an older guy there is still lots you can be curious about.

What things frighten you the most in terms of UE? asked by K.A.O.S.
the dark, not sure what crap my father told me when i was young but as an intelligent , mature male i still have fears of the dark even though they are unfounded.. it is an issue and thats maybe why i like lights so much.i still like the dark though, and do better in it than most humans i would say.

How often do you explore, or how involved are you in the UE community? asked by Anymouse
i do not explore too often, life gets in the way too often to do it very much. most of the time its quite impromptu.

What skills do you have in relation to UE? (climbing, photography, etc.) asked by Skaught
nothing directly related but have done first aid training.have decent mechanical knowledge.

Have you ever been caught by the police or security? asked by Skaught
not caught, well not for exploring anyways lol.

Is using lockpicks ok as a method of entering a site after all other options have been exhaused? asked by Skaught
questionable at best. very situation specific. definately not for active sites, thats a big no-no.

Do you think taking a small momento from an abandonment is ok? asked by Skaught
not unless the site is headed for demolition and is going to be completely destroyed.

How comfortable are you exploring with minors? asked by Feztaa
situation specific,i personally would not take minors anywhere theres any danger at all. i really prefer not to be responsible for others unless they are capable.

Do you run your own website? If so, what's the URL? asked by Feztaa
no website

What has the thing that has tempted your taking hands the most? asked by Night Shade
not sure what this is asking so i will type an animal noise instead....MOOOOOOO!

How do you deal missions with explorers whose ethics differ from your own? asked by K.A.O.S.
not everybody gets along, thats life. if i can i tend to stay away to avoid conflict. seen enough bs in my life to know when its coming my way.

What was your favourite place to explore, and why was it so awesome? asked by Lucid
one cool place was an old town that was only around for 11 years, called bankhead just outside of banff.foundations are left, huge piles of coal slag are still there, can almost hear the people still walking and talking.
another site was an old farm, it was like the family just left and everything was still there. had really old implements in the barn, wish i could recall where that was now.

What are your UE goals? asked by K.A.O.S.
no goals really, just doing impromptu exploring. maybe join with a few folks here and there.

What, if anything, have you given back to Urban Exploration since you started exploring? asked by Q
